Our story began in 2016, rooted in the electrical and trade-focused business development sector. Between 2016 and 2018, Bonum’s leadership honed critical skills in subcontractor coordination, project sourcing, and relationship-driven growth within the construction ecosystem. This early exposure provided a ground-level understanding of how projects truly succeed.
From 2019 to 2020, that expertise expanded into business development leadership for residential and commercial general contracting firms, where Bonum played a key role in driving market expansion, securing complex projects, and strengthening contractor-owner relationships across multiple asset types.

Launching Bonum: From Builder to Operator

In 2021, Bonum Development officially launched—leveraging years of trusted industry relationships and aggressive, strategic business development capabilities to rapidly enter the commercial construction arena as both a General Contractor and Owner-Operator. Within its early years, Bonum delivered and oversaw a diverse portfolio of projects, including:

• Full-gut tenant improvement build-outs

• 50+ room hotel refreshes

• Owner’s representation for a $20M ground-up hotel development

• Successful procurement of a six-figure historic preservation city grant

 

The challenges and successes of this phase reinforced Bonum’s commitment to comprehensive agreements, strong contractual frameworks, and disciplined pre-construction—while sharpening its ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments, align capital with execution, and deliver results in high-demand commercial settings. Now, over six years into its evolution, Bonum has intentionally transitioned to the development, operator, construction management, and owner’s representation side of the industry.
